Chancellor Arnold Goldin has been added to Alumni Chapter board of the University
of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law. A 1974 law school graduate, Goldin is
a judge for the Shelby County Chancery Court.
Board members serve a three-year term. The Law Alumni Board advises the membership
of the law alumni group and helps support the law school and the U of M Alumni Association.
The Cecil C. Humphreys School is located in the former U.S. Customs House in downtown
Memphis, near the city’s judicial and legal community. Recently, preLaw magazine rated the school ninth nationally as a “best value” law school. The Princeton Review ranked the school eighth in “Best Quality of Life” in its Best 172 Law Schools 2011 edition.
The school is accredited by the Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions
to the Bar of the American Bar Association, the official accrediting agency for legal
education, and is a member of the Association of American Law Schools, the society
for legal education in the United States. Graduates of the Cecil C. Humphreys School
of Law include judges, other public servants, and leading practitioners in the Mid-South
and throughout the nation.
