The Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Alumni Chapter will host a Continuing Legal Education
(CLE) seminar, “Busted! Local and National Criminal Issues,” on Thursday, Aug. 23,
beginning at 8:30 a.m. The day-long conference will be held in Wade Auditorium at
the Law School, located at 1 North Front Street.
Presenters and their topics include: Professor Ernest Lidge, ethics; Professor Steven
Mulroy, national Issues – Fourth and Fifth Amendments; Cameron Hyder, assistant attorney
general for the state of Tennessee, death penalty appeals, requests for relief; Shayla
Purifoy and Jeannie Kosciolek, protective orders; Judge Mark Ward, Tennessee issues,
local practice; and Judge Louis Montesi, Tennessee issues, local practice.
The cost is $120 for University of Memphis Alumni Association or Memphis Bar Association
members, $90 for attorneys who have practiced for three years or less, and $150 for
others. The seminar is free for students and faculty ($5 per session for CLE credit).

The Law Alumni Chapter is committed to promoting and sustaining the Cecil C. Humphreys
School of Law. The chapter funds several scholarships and a teaching award. Members
of the chapter give back to the school throughout the year by hosting CLEs and providing
mentoring and networking opportunities to students, faculty and alumni.
