The University of Memphis has named alumna Kimberly Rogers as college media coordinator
for the College of Communication and Fine Arts (CCFA).
Rogers will be responsible for CCFA’s online and print publications, public relations,
and outreach efforts. This includes Voices, CCFA’s biannual magazine, the website, and special events.
A two-time graduate of the U of M, Rogers received a bachelor’s degree in journalism
in 1997 and a master’s degree in journalism in 2001.
“We’re excited to have Kimberly join our team,” said Dr. Richard R. Ranta, dean of
the College. “Her history with CCFA and the University and her extensive professional
experience are invaluable assets for her job. She is a strong writer and communicator
with a clear passion for this University. I’m looking forward to what she can add
to the College’s communication efforts.”
Rogers’ writing experience began as an undergraduate in 1995 with a job at The Daily Helmsman. Since then she has interned at The Commercial Appeal and held publications, public relations, and web positions at Baptist Memorial Health
Care and Methodist Healthcare in Memphis.
In addition to her other U of M connections, Rogers helped teach students reporting
and writing skills at The Teen Appeal, a city-wide high school newspaper produced on campus, when it launched in 1998.
