June 19, 2014 - Danny Armitage has received the John Koldus Award for Distinguished
Service from the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators (NASPA)
Region III. Armitage is assistant vice president for Student Affairs/Campus Services
and interim dean of students at the University of Memphis.
The award recognizes an individual for demonstrated leadership in NASPA at the state,
regional or national level as chosen by NASPA peers. These contributions are above
and beyond the normal service required by positions of leadership. Armitage will be
the Region III nominee for the Fred Turner Award for Outstanding Service to NASPA
presented at the national conference in March 2015. He currently serves as the chair
of Professional Programs for NASPA.
“This award is a result of the teamwork by the great colleagues that I work with on
the NASPA board and at the University of Memphis,” said Armitage. “I appreciate the
opportunity to learn from all of them.”
