The Basic Aerospace Workshop at the University of Memphis lets local teachers learn
more about aviation science during their summer break.
Set for June 3-21, the workshop covers aviation and space technology and is open to
K-12 teachers and administrators in public and private schools in West Tennessee. It
is funded by a grant from the Tennessee Department of Transportation. There are eight

skills, to explore the role of aerospace technology in Tennessee, and to provide teachers
with resources for classroom instruction and information about aerospace careers.
