The results from the July 2011 Tennessee State Bar Examination have been made public,
and graduates of the Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law at the University of Memphis
had the highest first-time passage rate of any school in the state, 92.59 percent.
Other law schools in Tennessee with graduates taking the bar examination were the
Nashville School of Law, the University of Tennessee, and Vanderbilt University.
The 2011 statewide percentage for first-time takers was 79.97 percent.
The U of M law school’s first-time bar exam passage rate has been above 90 percent
for eight out of the past 10 years.
The Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2012.
