Stephen (Steve) McKellips

The University of Memphis has named Stephen (Steve) McKellips as director of Admissions.  He joined the University earlier this month.

McKellips came to the U of M from the University of West Florida in Pensacola, where he had also been that school’s director of admissions.  Before his stint at the West Florida campus, he had been director of admissions at the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater and assistant director of admissions at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee.

McKellips received a Master of Arts in Communication degree from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, where his thesis topic was “College Recruitment Publications: A Study in Persuasion.”  He holds a B.A. degree from Marquette University.
