The University of Memphis will hold its annual Study Abroad Fair on Tuesday, Sept.
13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Student Plaza. (In the event of rain, the fair will
move to the University Center Ballroom.)
Students will have a chance to speak with Study Abroad faculty, program providers,
and past program participants about international study opportunities. Information
about programs during the summer, winter/spring break, semester, and full academic
year will be available.
All students who attend will have a chance to win one of three $500 scholarships toward
a U of M-sponsored international study program.
The Study Abroad program offers more than 250 opportunities in 50 countries. Students
of all majors and levels can apply to study in the country of their choice. Most institutional
and federal aid can be applied toward the cost of international study. In addition,
the University has an International Experience Scholarship Fund for students who study
abroad. During the 2010-2011 academic year, 258 students received a total of $447,450
in Study Abroad scholarships.
Study Abroad applicants must have completed at least one semester at the University.
