Tutoring

Tutoring services are available for most freshmen STEM courses, including algebra and trigonometry, calculus (I and II), physics, and chemistry, as well as several engineering courses. Tutoring, offered by upper-division and graduate STEM students is free of charge and available without appointment. Tutoring is a great way to get help in areas of STEM you find difficult and meet STEM students who have taken the same classes. Visit the following link for details of locations and times.

The MemphiSTEM Networking Program is designed to encourage interaction with peers and faculty in your major. All STEM majors are encouraged to take part in the networking activities.

Travel Awards

Travel Awards of up to $400 are available for student organizations to support undergraduate student travel to STEM conferences, competitions or related activities. The travel awards are designed to offer partial funding for undergraduate students to present work, attend training workshops related to their student organization, or network with scholars in STEM fields. Applications where students have obtained or have applied for partial funding from other organizations are reviewed more favorably than those that have not. A single STEM student organization can only be awarded up to $400. Please submit travel grant applications at least two week prior to the event.
