The BBA in MIS has the same basic requirements as those for all other Business majors. In addition, 24 hours of coursework are required for a major in MIS, as follows:

Specific courses (18 hours)

MIS 2770 (3): Computer Hardware/Software MIS 2749/2755
MIS 2770 MUST be completed prior to taking any upper-division MIS courses
MIS 2845 (3): Application Program Development I MIS 2749/2755
MIS 3770 (3): Systems Analysis Methods MIS 3775
MIS 3775 (3): Business Data Management  MIS 2770
MIS 3790 (3): Network Design and Management MIS 2770
MIS 3885 (3): Strategic IT Project Management MGMT 3110
MIS 4800 (3): Information Resource Management MIS 3770, 3775, 3790
Elective Courses (6 hours)
Choice of two. If the student chooses to do an internship, it counts as a free elective, separate from the technical elective requirement represented by the courses in this list.
MIS 3755 (3): Application Program Development II MIS 2845 or equivalent
MIS 3780 (3): Application Program Development III MIS 2845 or equivalent
MIS 3820 (3): Intro to Systems Testing MIS 2845, 3770
MIS 3821 (3): Advanced System Testing MIS 3820
MIS 3886 (3): Project Management Tools/Lead MIS 3885
MIS 4310 (3): Global Information Technology  -
MIS 4760 (3): Web Site Design MIS 2845
MIS 4910 (1-3): Management Information Systems Problems senior standing and permission of department chair
MIS 4911 (3) Internship in Management Information Systems  Completed 15 hours in the Upper Division Core with 2.75 GPA in these courses, plus department chair approval
COMP 4262: Programming in UNIX COMP 2150 or permission of instructor
Minor: MIS 3770, 3775, 3790, and 4800 (Prerequisite courses must be included)

All lower division requirements must be satisfied before enrolling in any upper division, and enrollment in any upper division course is allowed only if all its prerequisites have been completed successfully.
