Auditory Processing Evaluations
Auditory processing evaluations help Audiologists identify disorders that do not cause a loss of ability to hear sounds but rather impair the way a child or adult perceives or understands sounds, especially speech sounds. Auditory processing tests may involve the clients voluntary responses to sounds or the tests may be objective, such as evoked potentials.
