In the Recording Technology Area, undergraduate students are prepared for entry and mid-level careers such as commercial and independent music production, engineers, sound design and operation for live theatre, and audio system design.

We have two “sister" exchange programs in Europe: Buckinghamshire University in the United Kingdom and InHolland University in the Netherlands. These programs help develop our entrepreneurial and global mission.

Faculty in the Recording Technology Area have served performing artists and agencies throughout the country as recording engineers, sound designers, and sound reinforcement engineers.

The Recording Technology Area offers a Bachelor of Music degree.
