Dr. Sandra E. Franks, Adjunct Professor of Voice, joined the University of Memphis faculty in 1999. Dr. Franks received the Doctor of Arts degree in Vocal Pedagogy and the Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from The University of Mississippi and the Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Louisiana State University. She is a Singing Voice Specialist and Vocal Pedagogue for Voice Care Associates, a multi-disciplinary clinic specializing in care of the professional voice. At VCA, she teaches studio voice, assists in diagnosis and treatment of all voice patients, and directs research projects and seminars. Dr. Franks, a coloratura soprano, is also an active performer of opera, oratorio, and recitals in the Southeast.
