University of Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Fall 2017

String auditions Sunday, August 27, 1pm-5:30pm Harris Concert Hall

The audition is required for ALL string players (new and returning students) who want to participate in the University of Memphis Symphony Orchestra for the academic year 2017-18. Please prepare the excerpts you will find online (links below) as well as regular scales and arpeggios over 3 octaves. For students who are challenging for principal and concertmaster there will be a sight reading excerpt as well. Please sign in on the time sheet which will be posted on the orchestra board by Thursday, August 24 at 12pm.

For the audition process itself be well prepared and ready 15 minutes before your playing, fill out the personnel sheet and sign in in front of the backstage door where my assistant Andrew Carroll is waiting for you.
