Submit an application to audition online at memphis.edu/music/future/forms.php. If
you are auditioning for a School of Music talent-based/performance scholarship, indicate
your interest on the audition application and request that two letters of recommendation
from professionals who know your musical ability and experience be mailed two weeks
prior to your audition. Recommendations may be emailed to kayyager@memphis.edu or you may bring them with you on your audition day.
Submit application for university admission which is reviewed by University Admissions for academic scholarship consideration.
December 1
Obtain a free application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) from your high school Guidance
Counselor or at www.fafsa.ed.gov.
If you have not already done so, have your high school and/or college mail official
transcripts to: University of Memphis, Office of Admissions, 101 Wilder Tower, Memphis,
TN 38152.
If you have not already done so, have your ACT and/or SAT test scores sent to the
U of M Office of Admissions by the testing services. The U of M will also accept records
of ACT and SAT exams that appear on official high school transcripts.
December 3
School of Music Audition/Orientation Day for Spring 2012 and Fall 2012 semesters.
Priority scholarship and assistantship day.
January 1
If you are auditioning for a School of Music talent-based/performance scholarship,
you should have applied to the University and should have submitted high school transcripts
and ACT or SAT results to the University. You should have completed an Undergraduate
Application Form at memphis.edu/music/future/forms.php so your audition day is scheduled.
February 1
Deadline for high school seniors to have been admitted into the University in order
to be given priority consideration for academic scholarship.
February 11
School of Music Audition/Orientation Day for Fall 2012. Priority scholarship & assistantship

February 18
School of Music Audition/Orientation Day for Fall 2012. Priority scholarship & assistantship

February 25
School of Music Audition/Orientation Day for Fall 2012. Priority scholarship & assistantship

If you are auditioning for a School of Music talent-based/performance scholarship,
must have auditioned, applied to the University, submitted high school transcripts
and ACT or SAT results to the University by this date.
The FAFSA should be mailed to the Federal Processor by this date in order to ensure
maximum consideration for all financial aid programs for applicants accepted for the
fall term.
March 15
Undergraduate School of Music scholarship applicants begin receiving scholarship notification.
May 1
Last Day that replies concerning School of Music talent-based/performance scholarship
offers are due to the School of Music.
June & July
New Student Orientation. Incoming freshmen and transfer students attend University
Orientation Days. Music majors and music minors are advised by music faculty and register
for classes.
August
Enrollment fees must be satisfied prior to the first day of classes to avoid assessment
of a late payment fee.
Late August
Check into dormitory.
End of August
Auditions for placements in instrumental and vocal ensembles. See memphis.edu/music.
Start classes.
