Will Be Topic at U of M Lecture April 14

The
director general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office
in Atlanta will lecture April 14 at 3 p.m. in the University
Center Faulkner Lounge at the University of Memphis. Rong
Chuan Wu will discuss the economic and political developments
of Taiwan and its progress toward democratization. A reception
will follow the lecture, which is free and open to the public.
Born
in Taiwan, Wu earned a master's degree in foreign service
from Georgetown University. His experience includes an extensive
background in foreign service for the Republic of China.
The
event is sponsored by Phi Beta Delta, the international student
honor society, and Pi Sigma Alpha, a national political science
honor society.
