Zach Wamp Will Visit U of M Sept. 3

U.S.
Congressman Zach Wamp (R-TN) will visit the University of
Memphis Friday, Sept. 3, for two events. At 8 a.m. Wamp will
speak at the FedEx Institute of Technology as part of its
Vision Series. He will discuss the Tennessee Technology Corridor
and how it supports the Oak Ridge National Laboratories and
UT-Battelle, the company that manages ORNL.
Wamp
also will address the importance of technology transfer between
the Corridor and the Memphis business and biotechnology market.
The event will begin with a breakfast reception at 7:30 a.m.
At
10 a.m. he will speak at the Cecil C. Humphreys School of
Law, room 310. Wamp will discuss "The Growth of Government:
Trends Leading to Deficit Spending." His visit is sponsored
by the law school's chapter of The Federalist Society.
