USA Exchange Scholar Will Speak Feb. 26

Dr. Kenneth R. Cissna, professor of communication at the University
of South Florida, will speak Monday, Feb. 26, at 10:20 a.m.
in the McWherter Library at The University of Memphis. His
talk, which will examine dialogue and human relationships,
is free and open to the public.
Cissna's
visit to The U of M is in conjunction with the U of M-South
Florida basketball game Sunday, Feb. 25. Cissna, whose visit
is sponsored by Conference USA, will be introduced at the
game.
Cissna
has written and published extensively on communication theory
and applied communication research. The editor of the Southern
Communication Journal, he has also served as editor of
the Journal of Applied Communication Research.
Since
its inception, Conference USA has sponsored an exchange of
scholars among its members. Dr. Lawrence Frey, professor and
chairman of the Communication Department at The U of M, conducted
lectures and seminars at the University of South Florida earlier
this month.
