Harper-Ray Named to Student Affairs Post at the U of M

Dr.
Yolanda Harper-Ray has joined the University of Memphis as
assistant vice president for student affairs/student development
within the Division of Student Affairs.
A
Texas-licensed psychologist, she comes to the U of M from
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, where she served
as the director of the University Counseling Center and as
an adjunct faculty member for the departments of psychology
and counseling.
Prior
to that, she served at the University of Tulsa as a faculty
member in clinical psychology, a staff psychologist and the
director of African-American studies.
At
the U of M, her areas of responsibility will include Adult
and Commuter Student Services, the Center for Student Development,
Career and Employment Services, Student Disability Services,
and Student Health Services.
A graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles,
Harper-Ray earned masters and doctoral degrees in clinical
psychology from the University of Arkansas.
