Teresa Hartnett Named Director of Administration

Dr. Teresa Hartnett has been appointed director of administration and business analysis in the Division of Business and Finance at the University of Memphis.   

Hartnett has worked for several years in Academic Affairs as director of academic programs administration and associate director of the Center for International Programs and Services.  She came to the U of M in 1997 as the director of planning and research in Business and Finance. 

Before joining the U of M staff, she had worked for five years at the World Bank in Washington, D.C.  

Since joining the University, Hartnett has consulted with the World Bank, the British Council, and the Mid-South Quality and Productivity Center. She currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Greater Memphis Association for Quality (GMAQ).

Hartnett holds a B.A. degree in international affairs from George Washington University, an M.P.A. degree in Public Finance from New York University, and a doctorate in higher and adult education from the University of Memphis.
