Slack Will Lead Engineering Graduate Studies at the U of M

Dr.
Steven Slack has been appointed associate dean for graduate
studies and research for the University of Memphis' Herff
College of Engineering.
A
graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University, Slack earned a doctorate
in chemical engineering from the University of Washington.
He did post-doctoral work at then-Memphis State University,
and he was named an assistant professor of biomedical engineering
at the University in 1994. Slack has been an associate professor
and graduate coordinator in biomedical engineering at the
U of M since 2000.
Slack
serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Biomedical
Materials Research and is editor of the Biomedical Engineering
Society Bulletin.
