Edwina Washington has been named the assistant vice president for business services within the Division of Business and Finance at the University of Memphis. Washington, a licensed attorney with a specialization in intellectual property, was previously employed with the Atlanta law firm of Thomas, Kayden, Horstemeyer & Risley. She has also served as general counsel for Excellatron Solid State LLC, and as an attorney with Kilpatrick Stockton LLP. Before earning her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, she worked for AT&T for 14 years in a variety of management positions.
