Student Receives Engineering Scholarship

University
of Memphis student Lindsey C. Gardner has received a Tau Beta
Pi scholarship for undergraduate study during the 2003-04
academic year. Recipients receive a $2,000 award for their
senior year of engineering study. This year 38 Scholars were
selected from 234 applications.
Gardner,
of Clarksville, Tenn., is majoring in mechanical engineering.
A recipient of the U of M's Cecil C. Humphreys Presidential
Scholarship, she has a perfect 4.0 grade point average.
Tau
Beta Pi scholarships are awarded on the basis of scholarship,
campus leadership and service, and the promise of future contributions
to the engineering profession. All scholars are members of
Tau Beta Pi, the engineering honor society.
Tau Beta Pi was founded in 1885, and has 226 collegiate chapters
and 16 active alumni chapters.
