Raines Will Speak at Mpact Luncheon June 18

In
a speech June 18, University of Memphis President Shirley
Raines will discuss the University's impact on local business
through its contributions to public K-12 education. Raines
will address the members of Mpact Memphis; the luncheon meeting
will begin at noon in the Fogelman Executive Center, Room
305, at 330 Deloach on the U of M campus.
Raines
became the U of M's 11th president in 2001, after serving
as vice chancellor for academic services and dean of the College
of Education at the University of Kentucky. She is a recognized
authority in the area of early childhood education and teacher
education.
The
cost of the luncheon is $15 for Mpact Memphis members, $20
