U of M Women?s History Month Opens With Panel Discussion March 3

The University of Memphis will kick off its celebration of Women’s History Month with a panel discussion and reception Thursday, March 3, at 4 p.m. in the Michael D. Rose Theatre. The discussion, “Women Working in Non-Traditional Roles,” will be moderated by U of M President Shirley Raines. The event is free and open to the public; a reception will follow the program. Panelists will include Tomeka Hart, an attorney and member of the Memphis City School Board; the Rev. Rebekah Jordan, a United Methodist minister and executive director of the Mid-South Interfaith Network for Economic Justice; Dr. Nancy Hardt, director of the Institute for Women’s Health at University of Tennessee Health Science Center; and Capt.
