Author Will Discuss The Legend of Quito Road June 10

Author Dwight Fryer will debut his first novel, The Legend of Quito Road, June 10 at 2 p.m. at the FedEx Institute of Technology at the University of Memphis. The novel chronicles the story of a 13-year-old boy whose religious father teaches him to make illegal whiskey in 1932 Lucy, Tenn. Fryer will give a presentation, followed by a reading, book signing, and reception. The event is free and open to the public. The book is being published by Kimani Press. A history enthusiast, Fryer is descended from a family of farm workers who lived on Ames Plantation near Grand Junction, Tenn. He is an ordained Christian minister and an international marketing manager at a global transportation company based in Memphis.
