The University of Memphis and Jackson State Community College will hold an information session in Savannah about online degree programs for working adults Thursday, June 1. The session will run from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Jackson State's Savannah Hardin Center, 840 S. Pickwick St.
There will be a presentation followed by a discussion period. U of M representatives will be on hand to provide details about a variety of online offerings. Online courses allow busy adults to advance their careers and enrich their lives by taking courses via computer. Students can select classes to suit their individual leaning style and fit their time schedule.
Graduate online degrees are available in professional studies, journalism, nursing, education, and liberal studies. Online bachelor's degrees are offered in professional studies (organizational leadership and information technology) and interdisciplinary studies. Students also may pursue associate degrees, including an associate of applied science in information technology or early childhood education.
In addition to online education, the U of M offers traditional courses at Jackson State Community College's Hardin County Center in Savannah.
