|U of M Will Celebrate International Education Week Nov. 13-17

The University of Memphis will hold a number of events in observance of International Education Week, which runs November 13-17. The schedule includes:
All week – Exhibit of photographs taken by American students abroad and international students in the United States, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wilder Tower, first floor lobby;
Nov. 15 – International food-tasting with foods from Ethiopia, Japan, the Middle East, Mexico, Thailand, Ireland, and other nations, 11 a.m. to noon, Communication and Fine Arts Building, first floor lobby;
Study Abroad Fair, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Communication and Fine Arts Building, first floor lobby;
Nov. 17 – Closing reception and photo contest awards ceremony, 11 a.m. to noon, Communication and Fine Arts Building, first floor lobby;
Dance workshop by Francis Awe of the Nigerian Talking Drums Ensemble, 1 to 3 p.m., Communication and Fine Arts Building, Room 124.
International Education Week is a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. Its aim is to promote programs that prepare Americans to live and work in a global environment and to attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States.
University sponsors are the Student Activities Council, Phi Beta Delta, the International Student Association, the Center for International Programs and Services, the Wang Center for International Business, the Fogelman College of Business and Economics, and the College of Communication and Fine Arts.
