Archaeological Museum will host its eighth annual Native American
Days Oct. 24-28.
The
event at the preserved Native American village, located on
Indian Village Drive in southwest Memphis, will run from 9
a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Saturday.
Featured
activities will include hands-on demonstrations of archaeology,
blowgun shooting, beadwork, and atlatl (a Native American
game). There will also be demonstrations of stickball and
arts and crafts such as pottery, basketry and beadwork.
Autumn
Morning Star will perform a Native American magic show, and
Randy Solomon will demonstrate Plains Indian-style dancing.
Breezy Windsong will tell authentic Native American stories.
