of M Alumni Golf Tourney Oct. 16 Will Help Fund Legacy Scholarship

The
University of Memphis Alumni Association will host its sixth
annual Homecoming Golf Classic on Monday, October 16, at the
Southwind Tournament Players Club. Registration will begin
at 10 a.m., with tee-off at 11 a.m.
Special
guests scheduled to attend include Tiger head basketball coach
John Calipari, head football coach Rip Scherer, Lady Tiger
basketball coach Joye Lee-McNelis and head baseball coach
Dave Anderson.
The
entry fee of $150 per player or $600 for a four-person team
covers cart rental, greens fee, box lunch, refreshments, prizes
and awards. A reception will follow the tournament at 4:30
p.m. Those who don’t play golf may attend the reception only
for $25.
Proceeds
will benefit the Celebrate 2000 Legacy Scholarship program.
It
is not necessary to be a U of M graduate to participate.
