Transfer Conference Set for Oct. 25 at The U of M

University
and community college administrators from the Mid-South will
meet at The University of Memphis on Oct. 25 to discuss ways
to improve the academic transfer process between those two
types of institutions. The Transfer and Articulation Conference
will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Fogelman Executive
Center.
President
Shirley Raines and Dr. John Haddock, vice provost for academic
affairs, will represent The U of M. Among the speakers will
be Dr. Kay Clark, associate vice chancellor for academic affairs
for the Tennessee Board of Regents.
The
conference will re-examine current issues and identify new
challenges in the transfer and articulation process, and participants
will establish a practical plan for achieving common goals
that are identified during the session.
The
free conference, which is sponsored by the Office of Academic
Affairs, includes lunch at the University of Memphis Holiday
Inn and a tour of the U of M campus.
The
