Scholars Breakfast Recognizes Academic Excellence Oct. 26

Dr.
Donald K. Carson, vice president for student affairs at The
University of Memphis, will be the featured speaker at the
2002 Black Scholars Breakfast on Saturday, Oct. 26. The breakfast
will begin at 8:30 a.m. in the University Center Ballroom.
Sponsored
by Black Scholars Unlimited, the event honors black scholarship
recipients throughout the University, their families, and
clergy, and it encourages the students to continue striving
for academic excellence.
Black
Scholars Unlimited is open to African-American students who
have attended The U of M for at least one semester, completed
at least 12 semester hours of coursework, and maintained a
minimum grade point average of 2.8.
