Deborah Bright will be the featured speaker for the University of Memphis Photographic Society at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, in the Meeman Journalism Building Auditorium. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Bright is a professor of art history and photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. She will discuss her new book, The Passionate Camera, Photography and Bodies of Desire. The book, edited by Bright, brings together more than 50 artists, scholars and critics to document and celebrate photography by and about sex-radical artists.

The lecture is sponsored in part by the U of M Student Activities Council.
