15 Symposium Will Explore Law, Technology & Ethics

The
University of Memphis Law Review and the Memphis Bar Association
will host a symposium Friday, Oct. 15, at the University.
"21st Century Law, Technology & Ethics" will
be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. in the FedEx Institute
of Technology on the U of M campus.
Students,
staff, and faculty may attend the symposium for free. Attorneys
and judges are invited to register for Continuing Legal Education
(CLE) credit. The morning sessions focus on legal ethics and
the afternoon sessions on technology.
The
keynote speaker will be Thomas Morgan, a professor of antitrust
law, professional responsibility, and economic regulation
of business at George Washington University Law School. Other
speakers from around the country, all experts in their fields,
will explore such issues as attorney conduct, genetic engineering,
and artificial intelligence.
Up
to 6.0 hours of Continuing Legal Education credit is available.
