|Fogelman College Will Host Alumni Day Oct. 17

The Fogelman College of Business & Economics Alumni Chapter will host its 15th annual Alumni Day luncheon Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 11:30 a.m. at the University of Memphis Holiday Inn, 3700 Central. Debbi Fields Rose, founder of Mrs. Fields Cookies, will be the keynote speaker.
Eric Bolton (BBA ’78), president and CEO of Mid-America Apartment Communities and a longtime supporter of the Fogelman College, will be recognized as Outstanding Alumnus. Carolyn Hardy (BBA ’74, MBA ’87) will be honored as the first recipient of the Entrepreneur of the Year award. Hardy, formerly vice president of Coors Brewing Company’s Memphis business unit, became president/CEO of Hardy Bottling Company in 2006.
Again this year the College will host the Alumni Guest Professor Program, in which Fogelman alumni return to the classroom to share their knowledge and experiences with students. In addition, Dr. Rajiv Grover, new dean of the Fogelman College, will meet with alumni and guests to discuss his vision for the College. Tickets are $55 per person, $500 for a table of 10.
