St. Jude's Barfield Will Speak Oct. 25 at the U of M

Dr. Ray Barfield of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will discuss the ethical intricacies of phase I trials on Thursday, October 25, at 3 p.m. in the Michael D. Rose Theatre, Room 115, on the University of Memphis campus.

Barfield is associated with the St. Jude Department of Oncology’s Division of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy.

His presentation is the second in a series of talks on bioethical issues sponsored by Alpha Epsilon Delta (pre-health professionals honor society), the U of M Pre-Dental Club, and the U of M chapter of the American Chemical Society.

The series is designed to provide a forum for discussion of vital issues facing health professionals.
