Schiro-Geist Joins U of M as Vice Provost for Academic Affairs

Dr.
Chrisann Schiro-Geist has joined the University of Memphis
as vice provost for academic affairs. Schiro-Geist had been
a professor in the Department of Community Health and director
of Disability and Rehabilitation Education and Training at
the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
In
addition to serving as vice provost for academic affairs,
she is on the faculty in the Department of Counseling, Educational
Psychology, and Research in the U of M's College of Education
"Dr. Schiro-Geist joins a dynamic group of colleagues
in rehabilitation counseling," said Dr. Ric Hovda, dean
of the College of Education. "Her wealth of experience,
scholarship, and excellence in professional service further
enhances a program that is growing in national reputation.
We are thrilled she is joining the University and our Department
of Counseling, Educational
Psychology, and Research."
