Science fiction fans can travel in time without leaving their seats. The FedEx Institute of Technology at the University of Memphis is hosting "Collisions with the Continuum," a Friday film series with a time-travel theme. All films will begin at 7 p.m. in the Zone.

Films and dates of showing are:

Sept. 23 - The Time Machine (1960)

Oct. 28 - Primer

Nov. 18 - Star Trek - First Contact

Dec. 9 - Slaughterhouse Five

Jan. 20 - 12 Monkeys

Feb. 17 - Planet of the Apes (1968)

Mar. 24 - Donnie Darko

April 14 - Back to the Future
