U of M Hires Jay Davenport as New Development Director

Jay Davenport has joined the University of Memphis as director of development for the Fogelman College of Business and Economics.

Davenport had been president of Catholic Memorial High School in Waukesha, Wis., where he was responsible for administrative, financial, public relations, admissions, and fundraising efforts.

Before that, he was director of development for the College of Engineering and Computer Science at Wright State University and associate dean of admissions at Wittenberg University.

A graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Davenport earned a master's degree in higher education administration from Ball State University. He received the Certified Fund Raising Executive designation in 2004.
