|U of M Alumna's Creation, The Perfect Front, Will Be Performed on Campus

The Perfect Front, a novel by University of Memphis alumna LaDawna S. Byers, has been adapted into a play that will be staged Saturday, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Michael D. Rose Theatre.
The Perfect Front is the tale of a couple living a seemingly picture-perfect life until the ‘perfect front’ unravels and reveals the painful truth behind their fairytale existence. The novel was adapted by playwright Corey Randolph Whitsett. The cast includes Sheila Lester, Leonard Pegues, Alexandria Taylor, and Candace Ashir.
Byers, a project manager with ServiceMaster, earned a BBA degree from the U of M in 2002. She attended the University on an Emerging Leaders Scholarship and served as a residence hall advisor for three years. She is currently working on two novels and a book of poetry and is in discussions with several national publishing houses.
