Freshmen Orientation for the class of 2016 will be held from 11-18 August 2012 aboard the University of Memphis campus and Little Rock Air Force Base. Freshmen Orientation is designed to help familiarize incoming midshipmen with The University of Memphis Naval ROTC program, as well our policies and requirements. It will also include daily physical training sessions, swim qualifications, sailing qualifications, classroom instruction, and close order drill. Although Freshmen Orientation is not a requirement, all incoming midshipmen, regardless of program, are highly encouraged to attend.

If you have received a scholarship award confirmation, then you will receive a welcome aboard letter from our unit by early summer.  If you applied for a scholarship, but have not received a scholarship award confirmation by June 2012, you may still be eligible to join the Naval ROTC program as a College Program student.  Please refer to our Prespective Students page to find out more information on how to join our program as a College Program student.
