New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation for the class of 2019 will be held from 15-22 August 2015 aboard The University of Memphis campus. New Student Orientation is designed to help familiarize incoming midshipmen with The University of Memphis Naval ROTC program, as well our policies and requirements. It will also include daily physical training sessions, swim qualifications, sailing qualifications, classroom instruction, and close order drill.  Although New Student Orientation is not a requirement, all incoming midshipmen, regardless of program, are highly encouraged to attend.

If you have received a scholarship award confirmation, then you will receive a welcome aboard letter from our unit by early summer.  If you applied for a scholarship, but have not received a scholarship award confirmation by June 2015, you may still be eligible to join the Naval ROTC program as a College Program student.  Please refer to our Prospective Students page to find out more information on how to join our program as a College Program student.

If you have any additional questions, please e-mail either the Navy Recruiting Officer or the Marine Officer Instructor.
