FRESHMAN SESSIONS

Eleven two-day sessions are offered for freshmen during summer 2009 (on a first come, first served basis):

Nursing majors: Students who have received provisional admission to the Loewenberg School of Nursing are strongly recommended to attend the June 4-5 session.

Music and Music Industry majors: If you are interested in majoring in music or music industry and you have already auditioned and/or attended Music Industry Orientation, we strongly recommend that you select from the following sessions: June 11-12, June 25-26, or July 27-28. If you have not auditioned for the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music, please visit http://music.memphis.edu/admission.htm and contact the School of Music.

ADULT & TRANSFER STUDENT OPEN HOUSE

This session will be held on Tuesday, July 21 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. and is specifically designed for new freshmen 21 years of age and older and all new transfer students.  You will learn about the General Education program, Adult and Commuter Student Services, the Center for Academic Transition and campus resources.

Academic advising and course registration will not be part of the Adult & Transfer Student Open House.  Contact your academic advisor to schedule an appointment for course advisement.
