Fall 2018 Freshmen Orientation
New Student Orientation, or NSO, is required for all incoming freshman, so make plans
to attend one of our twelve NSO sessions. Students who attend earlier sessions generally
have better options for class selections, so sign up as soon as you can! See below
for available dates, an abbreviated schedule, and pricing details.
The deadline to sign up for a freshman orientation session has bee extended to June 15, 2018.
Please note there are specific sessions for music and music industry majors (May 24-25, June 7-8, June 11-12, July 9-10 and July 12-13) and architecture and interior design majors (June 11-12 and July 16-17).
Below is an abbreviated outline of the schedule for your two-day session. You will receive a more detailed schedule when you arrive at NSO. Orientation is a continuous program with all activities scheduled in a necessary sequence. Students are required to attend all sessions on both days and to spend the night on campus. The orientation schedule requires extensive walking so please wear comfortable shoes, and bring an umbrella!
