Joy Hoffman, DNP, RN
Clinical Assistant Professor
Mrs. Hoffman currently teaches Community Health Nursing and Population Focused- Nursing
Practicum, both courses which prepare students to understand theories and principles
of nursing care of communities and aggregates. Mrs. Hoffman is also the Community
Health Course Coordinator, which involves her forming relationships with groups and
agencies within the community in order to find meaningful practicum locations for
students to practice in our community.
Mrs. Hoffman is a member of the University of Memphis Crisis Management Team, The
University District Initiative, and the Loewenberg School of Nursing Curriculum Committee.
She is also a member of the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International,
and the Tennessee Public Health Association.
