Education:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Tuskegee University, Tuskegee Institute, Alabama
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) - University of Evansville, Evansville Indiana
- Limited General- Radiographer, Indiana State Department of Health
Teaching:
Mrs. Smalls primarily teaches Community Population Focus Practicum and Gerontological
Nursing. She has also taught Contemporary Issues/Trends.
Service:
Mrs. Smalls is a member of the American Nurses Association, National League of Nursing
and Public Health Reserve Corps/ Medical Reserve Corps – Memphis and Shelby County
Health Department. She is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority serving
on the Health and Recreation Committee.
Clinical Practice:
Mrs. Smalls’s professional history includes experience in Medical –Surgical, Orthopedics
Progressive Care Unit, Nursing Administration and Occupational Health Nursing.

Mrs. Smalls is married with two children. In her spare time she enjoys gardening,
attending cultural art events and working with various community organizations.
