Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Tuskegee University, Tuskegee Institute, Alabama
  • Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) - University of Evansville, Evansville Indiana
  • Limited General- Radiographer, Indiana State Department of Health

Teaching:

Mrs. Smalls primarily teaches Community Population Focus Practicum and Gerontological Nursing. She has also taught Contemporary Issues/Trends.

Service:

Mrs. Smalls is a member of the American Nurses Association, National League of Nursing and Public Health Reserve Corps/ Medical Reserve Corps – Memphis and Shelby County Health Department. She is also an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority serving on the Health and Recreation Committee.

Clinical Practice:

Mrs. Smalls’s professional history includes experience in Medical –Surgical, Orthopedics Progressive Care Unit, Nursing Administration and Occupational Health Nursing.

More:

Mrs. Smalls is married with two children. In her spare time she enjoys gardening, attending cultural art events and working with various community organizations.
