Teaching: Professor McDougal currently serves as an instructor in the LSON Bachelor of Science
in Nursing program where she teaches Intro to Med/Surgical Nursing Practicum, Clinical
Skills I and Remediation (Timely Learning Coaching). Professor McDougal has 13 years
of experience teaching in the areas of medical surgical nursing, community health
nursing, and health assessment.
Education: Master of Science in Adult Health Nursing from Arkansas State University College of
Nursing and Health Professions; Registered Family Nurse Practitioner from University
of Arkansas for Medical Science College of Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing
from University of Arkansas Medical Sciences College of Nursing
Service: Member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, 054 Beta Theta–at
Large, Greater Memphis Association of Advanced Practice Nurses (an affiliate of the
Tennessee Nurses’ Association), American Nurses Association (ANA), Arkansas Nurses
Association and National League for Nursing.
Practice: Professor McDougal practices at The Regional Medical Center, trauma medical surgical
areas. She has experience in medical surgical nursing, rehabilitation, and home health
nursing.
More: Professor McDougal has 3 sons, one daughter-in-law and one granddaughter. She enjoys
spending time with her granddaughter, cooking, and decorating.
