Mary "Petey" Elliotte, MSN, FNP-C Clinical Assistant Professor

Teaching:
Ms. Elliotte currently teaches Advanced Health Assessment Clinicals in the MSN program.
She guides graduate students in the learning process of advanced physical assessment
skills to develop a solid foundation for their future practice as advanced nurses.
She also teaches FNP I, II, and III clinicals in the Family Nurse Practitioner track.
She serves as the FNP Clinical Coordinator in organizing and assisting the students
in securing clinical rotation sites in their Women’s, Adult and Pediatric clinical
rotations.
Service:
Ms. Elliotte serves on the Nursing Graduate Curriculum Committee. She is an active
member in the Emergency Nurses Association, the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners
and the National Organization for Nurse Practitioner Faculty. She holds a certification
in Emergency Nursing through the ENA. She is also active in the Mississippi Special
Olympics and Down Syndrome Association of the Midsouth.
Practice:
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Elliotte currently works in an urgent care clinic.
More:
Ms. Elliotte enjoys jazz music, cooking, golf and traveling. (She also enjoys riding
her Harley when weather permits!!!) She has a long haired dachshund, Kendle, who greets
visitors at the door with his food bowl---no, he's not starving... just testing you
to see if he can get more food.
