Paulette Palmer Robertson, MPA, MSN, RN Clinical Assistant Professor

Teaching:
Ms. Robertson’s primary teaching assignment is Foundations Practicum. Additionally,
she teaches Advanced Adult Health Practicum and Nonviolent Physical Crisis Intervention.
Research:
Ms. Robertson is currently a PhD Education student with specialization in Nursing
Education at Capella University. Her research interest is effective clinical teaching
strategies to promote critical thinking and stress reduction in first year nursing
students.
Service:
Ms. Robertson is a member of Beta Theta Chapter-at-Large, Sigma Theta Tau International,
American Association of Critical Care Nurses, and Emergency Nurses Association. She
is a life member of Beta Epsilon Omega Chapter, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated
and performs many community service activities through the sorority. She also is actively
serving on the Faculty Affairs and the Simulation Committees at The University of
Memphis.
Practice:
Ms. Robertson has over 30 years of practice experience with clinical expertise in
leadership, staff development, acute care, critical care, hemodialysis, and skilled
nursing. Ms. Robertson provides consultation for training and development programs
for hospital nursing staff. She is a certified Nonviolent Physical Crisis Intervention
Instructor, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor, and Basic Life Support Instructor.
