Teaching:
Tracy Collins primary teaching assignment is Foundations Practicum. On occasion, she
teaches Advanced Adult Health Practicum. Mrs. Collins is a practitioner that practices
the Holistic Theory, meaning one who considers an individual’s spiritual, mental and
physical state. When implementing this approach in healthcare and educational experiences,
she has found it allows each student to be reached individually as well as collectively.
Practice:
Mrs. Collins has worked as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and a Registered Nurse
(RN) in the city of Memphis for nine years. Tracy’s professional history includes
experience in gastroenterology, patient/family counseling, meeting quality of care
objectives, teaching procedural delivery, supporting administrative personnel, staff
development and preceptor functions.
Education:
Mrs. Collins obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from The University of
Memphis and a Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from University of Tennessee Health
Science Center, specializing in family health care.

Tracy shares her life with a wonderful husband and two beautiful boys. Her hobbies
included sharing special time with family, attending church, and watching HGTV.
